Hesperaloe parviflora is a yucca-like evergreen perennial succulent. Unlike yuccas, its leaves are spineless , and have fibrous threads along their edges. Slender branched stalks, reaching up to 1.5 meters, bear bell shaped coral red to pink flowers, rising well aove the foliage from late spring to midsummer, sometimes until fall. They provide festive display and attract butterflies and hummingbirds. Heat and drought tolerant, and requires no supplemental irrigation once established. Suitable for borders, as well as desert, rock , and mediterranean gardens . No serious pests/diseases issue.
