The gently arching, ringed, bamboo-like, green, multiple trunks silver-green trunk are topped with curved, feathery, yellow-green fronds. There are usually around six to eight yellow-green leaves on long petioles curve upwards creating a butterfly look. This stunning soft palm is quite valued throughout the tropics and is widely planted in frost free areas. The small, white, inconspicuous flowers are produced all year long and the small black fruits ripen all year. Butterfly Palm makes an attractive big size indoor plant .
