Persian lime is a medium sized, nearly thornless evergreen shrub or small tree, known for its oval fruit bigger in size than the key lime. Vivid green and glossy when immature, and it turns pale yellow when riped. It is aromatic, juicy, and less acidic than the key lime. The slightly fragrant flowers are beautiful, they shine against the glossy evergreen foliage. Flowers and fruits appear throughout the year, but are most abundant in winter. Thrives in full sun , and is easily grown in fertile well drained soils. Disease free and can be pruned into a small tree. Can grow in containers.
