Mexican petunia is a herbaceous perennial , native to Mexico and South America. From spring to fall it produces a funnel shape flower which comes in white pink or purple color. Butterflies love the flower. The leaf is long and linear and creates a dense look for the plant. It is grown best in full sun or partial shade and can tolerate heat, and drought. It can spread aggressively and invasively by both seed and rhizomes, that's why it needs some maintenance and attention.
